Thoughts on JavaScript

I hate Javascript
Javascript is a profoundly broken language
This site will never use any Javascript, neither in the frontend ~~or in the backend (looking at you, MathJax)~~ i lost the battle against j*vascript, this website is now using katex-rs in its backend. :(
On most websites, Javascript is just bloat and spyware
I try to keep Javascript out of my dependency graphs as much as possible
Who the hell thought it was a good idea to use Javascript for anything else than web development?
